England in front row crisis

England has been hit with a double blow ahead of their crunch match with the All Blacks on Rugby InjurySaturday as two of their props go down with injury.

Coach Stuart Lancaster confirmed that Mako Vunipola will not be available for the match after suffering a knee injury two weeks ago.

Meanwhile replacement prop Joe Marler  will have to pass cognitive testing after suffering concussion in Saturdays victory over the Pumas.

“Mako won’t be playing. Joe’s going through the mandatory recovery for concussion, but we’re hoping he’ll be OK,” Lancaster said.

Fellow prop Alex Corbisiero has recently returned from injury and replaced Marler in the Pumas match and will be expected to start at loose head however there are big question marks over who will be drafted onto the bench.

Once capped prop Matt Mullan will therefore remain with the squad as injury cover.

The squad will be announced on Thursday.
