Stephen Larkham is new Brumbies coach

World Cup winner and Wallaby legend, Stephen Larkham, will take over from departed South African coach Jake White for the Brumbies 2014 season.

It was a toss up between assistant coach Larkham and current forwards coach Laurie Fisher, who coached the Brumbies previously (2005 to 2008). Fisher will continue as forwards coach, but will also now be the full time assistant coach.

“We have a great group of players at the moment and I’m looking forward to developing the team alongside Laurie,” Larkham said.

“Laurie and I have worked extremely well together over the last two years.

“There’s robust discussions, and you put in your arguments to one another. It’s whoever argues the best point really, comes away with it at the end.”
