Wallabies dealt triple injury blow

The Wallabies injury woes have severely worsened after their first test against the Lions with three of their Injurystar players ruled out of the next match.

Digby Ioane and Pat McCabe are both ruled out for the rest of the series, but Berrick “made of glass” Barnes has a chance of proving his fitness in time for the third and final.

McCabe has a recurring neck injury and will consult specialists in Sydney later this week while Ioane suffered internal damage in his right shoulder and could require surgery.

Berrick Barnes was concussed during the first half of the test and was replaced by Kurtley Beale. Barnes has a history of concussion and I am sure doctors will be extremely careful with him.

Brumbies star fullback Jessie Mogg, former Wallabies Legend George Smith and Reds centre Ben Tapuai have been called up as injury cover.

On the bright side, 1 minute Wallaby Christian Leali’ifano who debuted for 60 seconds last week before being stretchered off the field will be available for selection.
