Healy was stretchered off during the Lions 69-17 route of the Force in Perth and will likely miss the rest of the tour.
To literally add insult to injury, Healy is due to face a disciplinary hearing this week after being accused of biting Force scrummy Brett Sheehan.
Englands Corbisiero is on tour with his national side in Argentina and will be flown to Australia as soon as possible to begin training with the squad.
“Cian has had an X-ray and, while his left ankle is not broken, he will be assessed further when we get to Brisbane, In the meantime, we need to get Alex over here as soon as possible and I am thankful to [England head coach] Stuart Lancaster for letting him go so quickly.” said Lions head coach Warren Gatland.
England coach Stuart Lancaster expressed his joy for the young prop forward in a statement to the press yesterday: “We are delighted for Alex, It’s very pleasing for him after he missed the Six Nations through injury, and he goes with our full support and blessing. All the England players and management couldn’t be more pleased for him to get this opportunity.”
The Lions now travel to Brisbane to take on the Reds on Saturday.
