The Kings, through this performance, underlined the difference between themselves and the Lions, pride. Pride in themselves and pride in their jersey. The Lions could never have drawn this match in the dying minutes, and an attitude that sets them apart from any new Super Rugby team, is the Kings star player.
A Kings performance is rarely dominated by a single player (except for perhaps Jacques Engelbrecht) and this was no exception. Courageous defense and a well coached attack is what the Kings work with every week, in a competition they were supposed fail dismally in. They might have only won one match and drawn another, but have already warranted their inclusion and then some.
