Springbok Squad for Autumn Internationals

With the all-important seeding’s for the 2015 Rugby World Cup closing at the end of this year, Heyneke Meyer has decide to call on some of the Springboks who ply their trade beyond South African shores to help them in their quest to secure second place in the world rankings and thus the second easiest pool in the next World Cup.

With New Zealand having a strangle hold on the no.1 spot in the world, it is imperative that South Africa get as many IRB ranking points out of this upcoming tour as possible so as to stave of the Australian threat as it is neck and neck for second place at the moment.

Habana picked up an injury in the opening minutes of the Currie Cup final on Saturday as was rules out of the tour yesterday.

Rhule joins Jano Vermaak, Franco van der Merwe, Lionel Mapoe and Arno Botha as the five uncapped players in the squad.
